The battle between the two major OS Android and iOS is heating up as both of the OS brings something new and better features for users. Both Android and iOS are constantly getting better each day with the addition of advanced and amazing features in the OS, and the battle of android vs iOS is getting more and more interesting.
To understand the competition between the two, we need to have a close look at the features both of the OS has to offer to us, and find each flaws and advantages in each of the two OS. So, let’s have a closer look at the newest features of Android and iOS,
Face Unlock in Android
Face Unlock in Android is one of the best features that have ever been introduced on a smartphone, and it works great even in dim light. This is a very cool feature that lets you unlock your Android phone by looking at your phone, and it takes seconds to recognize you and unlock the phone. This feature is missed by iOS users, as there is no such feature in iOS even till now, and there’s no sign of getting such feature on the future versions of iOS till now. In this regard, it’s a plus point for Android users, as they can enjoy this great feature on their Android smartphones.
Apple Siri or Google Now?
Apple Siri has been dazzling us for a while, but Google isn’t sitting quiet and looking at the situation. In the latest Android update, Jellybean, Google has unveiled its weapon against Siri, and it’s called Google Now. Though Google Now is not as much intelligent as Siri, but it beats Siri in terms of Web Search and information seeking, and rapidly provides answer to your questions without keeping you awaited like Siri. Its interface is also pleasant, and simple unlike the dark interface on Siri. Though Siri is now the best of its kind, but still it’s not long that Google might knock out Siri from its throne.
Passport App in iOS
Apple iOS features a brand new app called Passport which lets you manage several passes for movie theatres, airport tickets, and other such passes in an easy way, and makes you able to use those passes in their respective passes by automatically handing out the pass to you when you enter any area where you will have to use a pass, and you can use the pass through the NFC feature. Google is still working on this feature and has introduced Google Wallet, which lets you pay at shopping centers and other NFC enabled places by using your smartphone and charging the amount from your added credit card. In this regard, it’s an advantage for iOS users at the moment with the new and unique Passport app.
Apple now has its Own Maps
Apple is making its place stronger in the battle by introducing new features like its very own Maps, which is advanced enough to guide you safely through traffic, as well as make you have an experience like Superman, flying over your city and viewing how everything looks from the top. Though Google had it for a long time, but still there are some features that are new and interesting in the Apple Maps, and we might receive an update for better Maps app from Google in this regard. So we can say that Apple is trying to remove traces of Google services as much as possible, though Google search is expected to be always there.
As days pass by both OS are bringing up something new and exciting for us, and the battle is getting better and better every day, and all that I can say is that, this battle is somewhat advantageous to us, as we are constantly getting new features every year.
