Although he has done his bachelor degree on Mechanical Engineering (at a reputed institution in South India), his passion for blogging and online marketing made him to launch this blog on June 10, 2010.

Right from the start of his online career, he works hard to learn new things and share the knowledge to all the readers of this blog. Most of the guides, articles and tutorials provided in this blog are personally written by him after experimenting them on several blog’s and all of them provide true value to this blog readers. Although he likes to become a successful web entrepreneur, his passion towards blogging make him to work even harder with this blog.

Something in his own words:

I am not sure how many of you know this fact, but I came into the world of online marketing and blogging only at the age of 19. When I have launched my first blog at blogger, it was just a hobby to me and I loved every minute it. Since I was doing my Engineering at that time, I never had a thought of becoming a full-time online marketer or a blogger. I have learned a lot about blogging, online marketing and making money online, during that time by doing hundreds of experiments on a lot of things.

Well in our life, we will never get what we desire but we will always get what we deserve. After I have finished my Engineering, the love for my engineering has completely gone away and i realized that getting a job in the Engineering field would not be the right option for me. So I believe that working in the online marketing field is what deserve and I have taken Full-time online marketing and blogging as my career and launched this blog, “TechieMania” On June 10, 2010 and I have been using it as the place where I will share all my online marketing experiences.

About John Rampton:

John Rampton Narrated his life story in his own words here:

When I was 10 years old I started a lemonade stand. I worked my heart out for 2 days straight without a single sale besides my own Mother. I was about to give up when my Mom suggested that I move my lemonade stand. The following morning I moved my lemonade stand down the road to a busy intersection where I had so many customers that I couldn’t handle all of them. I then hired a friend for 50% of the profit and had 2 lemonade stands going. I found that working with other people and helping them was the best way to earn the max amount of money while helping other people out. Ever since then, I have applied this to every aspect of my life. People are the greatest asset that one can have in life.

John Rampton 300x225I am a very social person and love to talk with people and get to know all about them. In 2005 I was working for a construction company trying to pay the bills and had the unfortunate opportunity to be ran over by construction equipment. My leg was snapped into two. I then spent the next 4 months in bed being sponge-bathed and not being able to get up except to go to the bathroom. The following 5 months after that I was unable to walk. I had to learn to walk again even though the doctors had told me that it may never be possible again.

During this time was one of the hardest times of my life. Everything goes through your head when you lye there on the couch and can’t do anything. Even the most simple tasks of getting something to eat or going to the bathroom had to be assisted by someone else. During this time I had the great opportunity to REALLY get to know myself. Up to this point in my life I had never stopped to listen to what I was really thinking, it was always, “GO! GO! GO!” I began to really know myself and what I really wanted. I had always wanted to be a Pharmaceutical Sales Rep going from Doctor to Doctor gaining their business and making a lot of money. After the accident the Doctor told me that walking may never be something I can do again. A lot goes through your head when you no longer have that option.

Now, I don’t recommend getting run over, but I do recommend getting to know yourself at this level. During this time I developed a passion for reading. Specifically business books and books on making money. I started working for an online marketing business called Obeo. When I started with Obeo, they put me in the back room that I referred to as the dungeon, most commonly known to us as the broom closet. They told me to sell their product with no real instruction on how to do it. This gave me the opportunity to learn how to sell the way that I am good at selling. I tried everything from calling hundreds of people, to texting thousands, and found new and interesting ways to sell online. I got paid a certain $$$ amount to sell a virtual tour. Since I knew people were the greatest asset, I contacted friends and told them I would give them a $$$ amount of everything they sold. My sales went from 5 a day to 50+ a day. I instantly became their top sales person selling 10x more then the next sales rep. I never did tell them how I did it, hahaha. I found something that I was good at and made it work through online sales. Making money online has been a passion of mine ever since then. This didn’t happen overnight, it took me almost 2 years to finally figure out something that worked. I never gave up and still to this day thank Glade Jones for having the patience with me to help me to achieve what I am today.

During this time I read the book Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki where I grew a passion for Real Estate. I joined a CashFlow group where I met Jon Hopkin who became a great mentor of mine. I talked with him that I really wanted to get into real estate investing. He told me about a deal that he heard about. I told him that I was interested in what he had. I met him at a 2 bed, 1 bath condo. The person who lived there was being foreclosed on the next day. I purchased the condo that day without knowing how to do anything. I took a gamble and relied on faith that everything would be ok. I’m not saying everything went exactly as expected but everything has worked out for the best. Since then I have bought and sold 12 homes and apartment buildings.

In 2008 I realized that buying and selling of homes wasn’t the life that I wanted so I started selling off my homes and moved into more of the online marketing space where I had little to no risk. I could start a website for $4.95/month. I picked up random jobs where I could pay the bills and started doing things online. I worked for one online marketing company that hired me on the spot and then fired me a month later for no reason. Though I got fired I learned what affiliate marketing was and that what I had been doing for years was known as CPA (cost per acquisition) marketing. By this time I knew I really could make BIG money online if I put everything into it. I began reading blogs such as Shoemoney, ZacJohnson, JohnChow, JonathanVolk, IanFernando, PPCIan and many more.

In 2009 I launched my first online failure called RedBulbMedia, followed by several other website bombs. I thought I was really rocking it when I had a eCigg offer that I was doing around 30-50 leads a day (I know, way small but what can I say… I didn’t have money). Then the credit card fiasco hit and my merchant account was shut down. I was 100% legit and disclosed everything but it really didn’t matter to them. Through all these online ventures I learned almost all the aspects of affiliate marketing. I wanted to learn more about affiliate marketing and a side of the marketing that I didn’t understand…Hosting. I started working with a hosting company called NetHosting where I started learning all about online hosting and how to make money with online hosting. Although I hate to say that I work for someone I do recommend when you are starting your online affiliate marketing empire you have a stable job that will bring you in money every day.

During the whole time that I have blogged I have always had a stable job so that I always have money coming in no matter what. I have had months where I make over $20,000 through my affiliate marketing efforts while I still was working for someone else. I will never tell you that you should quit your job and start your own money making blog. You shouldn’t do that. Keep your job, keep your life, and add a little more to it.

It doesn’t take that long. Take an extra hour or two everyday to write what you are passionate about. I’m passionate about making money online and helping other people do the same. I have made hundreds of thousands of dollars through the years making money online. No, it didn’t happen overnight, or in a year but it did happen!

I don’t want anyone that reads this to think that they can’t do what I have done. I took a chance on myself and a big chance at that. I failed and took another chance and kept going. The first step is believing in ourselves. Anything is possible if we believe in ourselves. We will fall down, but what makes us who we are is when we get back up and keep going!

Some of my current projects are: Pixloo Virtual Tour, PPC.org, Adogy, eMazda, Drive Views, and Real Estate Blog.
