Finding Web Hosting In Asian Countries

by Dani Cass on May 10, 2011

Recently I was asked to research website hosting companies based within Asia. Marketing to Asian search engines, and fast upload/download speeds for website visitors were the top priorities, so finding companies with servers located in Asia was a must.

Find Web Hosting In Asia

I have to admit that finding these companies wasn’t all that easy, and along the way I encountered many other people struggling with the same task.

The main requirements of my search were:

  • English control panels
  • Shared linux servers
  • Servers located in Japan, Korea, India, China, Singapore and Malaysia
  • At least 99% server uptime

After much research, I managed to find companies with all of these requirements based in each of the required locations. I have no affiliation with any of these companies and cannot guarantee any of the claims on their websites but I thought I would share this list of companies in the hope that it may save someone a lot of time!

Shinjiru – Have servers located in Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia (contact them to specify your required server located). They have various hosting packages available on shared Linux servers with a quoted server uptime of 99.9%. English speaking support is available.

NTT Communications - Have servers located in Japan, Korea, India and China (contact them to specify your required server located). The website is a little difficult to navigate but there is a contact form available at the bottom of the page to request more information.

B4U India – Have servers located in India. They have various hosting packages available on shared Linux servers with a quoted server uptime of 99.9%. English speaking support is available.

Internet Brothers – Have servers located in Korea. Contact them through the website to discuss your exact requirements, quoted server uptime of 99.9%. English speaking support is available.

Portal Japan – Have servers located in Japan. Currently their hosting page isn’t available so I recommend contacting them through the website as shared Linux servers were available when I enquired. Estimated server uptime of 95% but not guaranteed. English speaking support is available.

JPStream – Have servers located in Japan. Budget and Advanced hosting packages are available on shared Linux servers, quoted server uptime for Advanced hosting package is 100%. English speaking support is available.

There are likely to be other companies offering hosting services within these countries but the most important thing is to check the location of the servers by contacting the company directly as many of the companies I spoke to have their servers located within the US.

I hope you find this list helpful icon smile

    hey,
this is truly awesome and surprising..couldn’t ever imagine that internet can provide us even this sort of information. Is this list complete? or are there some more companies?

    • gouravjain

Nope, this isn’t a complete list. There are hundreds more but this list have the best and most trusted ones. :D

I did find a lot of different companies based in Asia but they either didn’t offer English control panels/support or their servers were based in the US.

Obviously having the servers located in Asia will help with search engine promotion and upload/download speeds, which is why I’ve only listed the ones I found with Asia based servers.

bro i have been blogger for past few months and iam thinking of transforming to wordpress and whats is ur opinion of bigrock servers in india

    • http://www.impactwebsolutions.co.uk Dani Cass

When I researched the hosting companies I don’t believe I came across BigRock, I’ve just taken a look at their website (bigrock.in) and they do appear to have quite a good feature list and the prices/packages seem quite reasonable – the only thing I can’t find mentioned is where their servers are located so I have sent them a message to check and will let you know when they get back to me.

      Hello Renny,

It’s really good if you are thinking to migrate from Blogger to WordPress and answering to your query, BigRock don’t own servers. They resell services provided by ResellerClub. The datacenters are located globally and perhaps, they have a few in India too.

thanx bro for your information was really helpfull,

        • http://www.impactwebsolutions.co.uk Dani Cass

          Hi Renny,

Their servers are located in Texas (US) with backup servers in India, I guess if you contacted them and asked they may be able to put your website on the server in India.

          Hope this helps :)

I’ve migrated from blogger to wordpress and I love it. WordPress is a great blogging platform. It gives lots of flexibility and other options that blogger didn’t have. It’s also important to find good fast wordpress hosting because with big traffic comes great responsibility. I mean, you must aim to offer your readers the smoothest experience while they visit your website.

web hosting services in Asian countries is not only expensive but also lack of support. I tends to use US’s or UK’s one which is much better

    • Gourav Jain

US and UK servers are always better due to their massive number of clients, and hence they provide inexpensive and efficient web hosting packages.

And talking about Asian Companies, a few of them lack fault tolerance systems, but not all. If you with Big Hosting Companies, I’m sure that you won’t face a trouble, neither with Support nor with Uptime. I have a client’s e-commerce site hosted with CtrlS India, and I have never faced a single second downtime from them and their plans are not too expensive.

We just have to do a little research before buying a webhosting plan, and then Bingo ! you will surely get hosting packages which suit to your needs.

i think u miss about Exabytes…its one of the best hosting i ever used

    • http://www.techiemania.com Sathishkumar

Hi Haru, we have missed it in this list. Thanks for adding it now via the comments section.

    • http://www.impactwebsolutions.co.uk Dani Cass

      Hi Haru,

Thank you for adding this to the list.

One thing I would like to point out with this one having looked through the site is to check the FAQ tab on the hosting packages before you buy as some of the servers are located in the US and there is a link on the FAQ page to a different site for hosting on servers located in the actual countries.

Link to the Exabytes website is http://www.exabytes.com/ (select country in the top right hand corner).

Making the business more exciting some hosts enable overselling of the house and they don’t even cost further till is utilization is within 1000MB.In most of the instances it’s noted that user just uses lower than half of the allotted apace which means one can double or triple promote that quota and can earn good quantity of money.
