How To Find Forums In Your Niche?

It is always a good idea to register in few forums that are related to your niche to get an idea about what the latest buzz in your niche. You can get latest news and also know what people are talking about. If you are planning for a product launch or a ebook launch you may want to visit at least one forum in that niche and get views about the forum users. This helps you in shaping your product/ebook.

How to find Niche forums

You can always Google search the forums but one single website has a database of all the best/big forums categorized and well maintained. It is Big-boards.com

You can browse through the forum and it also list the size of the members present in each forum. Based on the member size you can select the forum that popular and active. You can use this forum for profile creations and other SEO activities as well. The power of communities and forums are enormous for SEO and Traffic.

If you want to use Google search for searching the forum list for your niche, you can use the following method.

“your niche keyword name” +forum

Example: “social media marketing”  +forum will list all the forums related to the niche “Social Media Marketing“. Check it by yourself and pic the best forums. You can use Google toolbar installed in your browser to filter results by their Page Rank. To go to the next step you can filter by their alexa score and member counts, not the total members by the active member counts.

 

You can also use Powered by “forum software” in the Google search to filter forum results based on the forum software that the website uses. Some of the popular forum softwares are Vbulletin, PHPBB, SMF. PHPBB and SMF forums are free ones and Vbulletin is paid but the best compared to other free forums. So popular forums use Vbulletin.
